Thursday, January 8th 9:35pm Dear Diary, The New Year is upon us, and I only have 12 more days until I am sworn in as the Next Vice President. Can’t believe the year of my (hopefully first) inauguration has already arrived. Seems like just yesterday, Barack and I were learning of our victory over John McCain and Sarah Palin. But on the other hand, so much has happened since then, that it seems like ages ago. Well, so much has happened to everyone else. I’m still waiting to make my mark. But perhaps it’s better that I bide my time until the inauguration. This year, I have one main New Year's Resolution.

1. , Become an outstanding Vice President. By the end of my first year, I would like to be placed in the upper quartile of Vice Presidents when it comes to popularity and rankings. Of course, this may be difficult when it seems like the media is out to get me, but I’m sure I’ll work something out.

Of course, to realize this resolution will mean that I’ll have to significantly boost my popularity ratings. I personally think that any press becomes good press because it guarantees attention, which means that it is imperative to get myself in the media more frequently. In fact, this can be a bullet point beneath my New Year's Resolution, since popularity can often lead to the illusion of success.
